LESLIE LENERT
Biography
Leslie Lenert is an actor and teaching artist who loves being a storyteller and helping others do the same. She has been performing in Houston since 2011 and teaching theater through various Houston organizations since 2013. Some of her favorite acting credits include: Break (World Premier), Pride and Prejudice, In Darfur, The Wickhams, Wolf Hall Parts I & II, Bridge to Terabithia, Lilies of the Field, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, Godspell, The Diary of Anne Frank. As a teaching artist, she has worked with groups ranging from preschool through adult through Houston companies Hope Stone, Theater Under the Stars, Brave Little Company, Main Street Theater, Interactive Theater, and A.D. Players. Her goal in all her teaching work is to help people engage in play and develop their ability to enter a story.
Leslie holds a B.A. in English from the University of Texas and currently is completing an M.A. in Communication Science and Disorders at the University of Houston, in pursuit of adding a license in speech-language pathology to her toolkit.
