LUKE FEDELL
Biography
Luke Fedell is a working Theatre practitioner in Houston and throughout the country. He has an M.F.A. in Performance & Pedagogy from Texas Tech University. This degree's primary focus is to train working professionals in the field how to specifically teach courses in Theatre, Acting and Directing at the University level. He is also a working professional actor/director and has many international acting credits with the Houston Grand Opera. He was most recently seen as a performer in the New York premiere of Mieczyslaw Weinberg's The Passenger at the Park Avenue Armory.
In addition to acting professionally he works locally as a fight director, set designer, and lighting designer for various theatres (including HGO, Catastrophic Theatre, Mildred’s Umbrella, and Classical Theatre Company), and annual music festivals.
He is currently working on an advanced actor movement training and physical approach to theatre called "Actors are Athletes" that implements athletic training into young actors to promote physical awareness, and characterization through control the body.
