AMANDA MARTINEZ

Biography

Amanda Martinez is a professional actor, singer, and acting coach.  She received her BM in Musical theatre from Oklahoma City University.  Shortly after graduating, she moved to New York City and continued her education studying Meisner under Stanford Meisner’s protege, James Price.  As an actor, Amanda has performed Off-Broadway, internationally, and in regional theatres across the country.  Off-Broadway credits include the titular role in Esther’s Dilemma, Bernadette Perez in Keith Huff’s (Mad Men, House of Cards) Six Corners, and Mary Baily in It’s A Wonderful Life Radio Play.  Regionally some of her favorite credits include, Dial M for Murder, American Mariachi, Camelot, Jesus Christ Superstar, Laughs In Spanish, Present Laughter, Simprov (world premiere), Sexo Y Tortillas (workshop), A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Best of Everything, and Aunt Julia and Scriptwriter.  Amanda has also been seen in several commercials and was tapped to sing the National Anthem at an Astro’s game on behalf of The Alley Theatre.
